静謐な佇まい
太宰府天満宮の参道にある蕎麦屋のためにデザインされた椅子で、神社の鳥居がモチーフとなっている。そのままをデザインに取り入れるのではなく、凛とした空気を纏ったデザインとするため、繊細なディティールを持ちながらもシンプルな構成でデザイン。一番のポイントは中心に向かって少しだけくびれた背もたれ。意匠としての美しい曲線と共に、座る人の背中を優しく支えるという機能性も持ち合わせる。 私たちはテーブルに組みあわせた椅子の後ろ姿を見ることがほとんどなので、この椅子は後ろ姿を正面として捉えることで美しさを表現した。静かで凛とした日本的な雰囲気を持つ椅子だと感じて欲しい。
Tranquil appearance
This is the chair designed for the noodle shop in the approach to Shrine in Dazaifu-tenmangu. A design motif is a torii in a shrine. This chair with the air made dignified consists of the delicate details and the simple structure. The feature of the chair is curve of the backrest. And the part has the function with which a back of the person who sits down is supported gently. We see the back of the chair combined with a table daily. This chair catches the back as the front. I want you to feel the Japanese tranquil atmosphere.
